“You’re braver than you believe, and stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think.” –A.A. Milne Many of us feel we have nothing to contribute. Either we don't have enough education, or we have gained all of the accolades we can possibly possess through degrees, certifications, and licensing, we still think those are not enough to be noticed. We capture a thought, and that thought turns into an idea, which could very well help someone else that needs it most, but we don't have the confidence to execute our plan towards completion. So here's the question I must ask each of you: Would you rather someone else take the very idea that you have and make a name for him or herself with all of the wealth and fame that is associated with someone who's achieved an extraordinary feat, all from your creativity, or ... would you rather it be YOU? “Someone was hurt before you, wronged before you, hungry before you, frightened before you, beaten before you, humiliated before you, raped before you… yet, someone survived… You can do anything you choose to do.” –Maya Angelou It's important for each of us to understand the capacity we have to be the miracle many need in this world. Someone is waiting on your story, your expertise, your resources, your love...you are their ticket to freedom. Freedom to live a life in Christ by what you have within you! Yes, it may be hard to want to help, based on how you were treated in the past, but guess what, you made it. And I'm sure you don't look like what you've been through.
Allow yourself to be vulnerable for the sake of others. Do things that matter. Whether a kind gesture, or a word or deed, you have what it takes to make the world a better place, all because of the change you made to be the best you for someone else. Let this motivational video inspire you to change your way of thinking about who you really are! Until next time...

Dr. Lily, thank you for today's blog. many times we (and I include myself in this) have desires, dreams and goals but we allow everyday cares even fears to distract us. We listen to the negative voices that say we can't, aren't good enough or smart enough to achieve great things. But thank you for reminding us that we can do it! God has equipped us with every tool that we need to accomplish the dream. You inspire me to write the vision and impliment my plan so I can do great things!
