Is it really just a DREAM?Read Now
“Keep your dreams alive. Understand to achieve anything requires faith and belief in yourself, vision, hard work, determination, and dedication. Remember all things are possible for those who believe.” ~Gail Devers
Throughout your life, you acquired dreams...
But how many of them actually became reality? You may be thinking that I'm telling you NOT TO DREAM... But on the contrary, I want you to continue to DREAM. Just because one particular dream did not manifest in your life doesn't mean many of the others won't either.
Have you kept track of your dreams? No matter how big or small they are, all dreams are important. Worked properly, dreams go through several stages:
Dreams ----> Projects ----> Programs ----> Plans ----> Goals ----> Purpose
But dreams can't reach its intended purpose without you taking them from off a page in your journal and onto the specified area it is supposed to go to. It needs to have an intended target. Your job is to reach for the dart and throw it in the direction it was meant to hit.
Once you do that, you are well on your way from just having a DREAM to living a REALITY! A life one is meant to live--full of Purpose and Meaning! Keep dreaming... they will soon become the very essence of who you are.

So do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded (Hebrews 10:35).
Confidence, according to Dictionary.com, is the belief in oneself and one's powers or abilities; self-confidence; self-reliance; assurance. When you have confidence, you can be assured that when you walk in a room, it shows; because, everyone around you will see the confidence in you. It's in the way you approach people, the way you speak, and the way you handle or take command of a conversation. It's not that you are overbearing. It's just the opposite. You can still be humble, but also display charisma. You have influence, and you are fun to be around.
You can tell the difference between a confident person and one who lacks assurance:
These are just a portion of what you will find between both types of individuals, but I think you get the drift. Which one are you? Do you have a hard time living up to the expectations of others that you find yourself being someone that you're not? Or are you comfortable in your own skin and it shows with each person you come in contact with?
Having confidence in your abilities not only shows your level of competency in any given area, it also shows that even during times of weakness or failure, you have staying power. Nothing easily makes you give up and quit. Not only that, the Bible also says that if you cast not away your confidence or your faith that God will see you through, everything that you've ever dreamed of achieving will eventually come to you (see Hebrews 10:35 above).
So what are some ways that you can look at improving your level of confidence, no matter the task or situation? Let's list them.
1. He made you 'STRONG'!
Knowing what you are already good at helps you to tackle those times when you may have failed, lowering your self esteem. Harnessing the power of your strengths will keep you use those more, instead of focusing always on what you need to improve. Weaknesses are not bad. You may have strengths that could be used in helping you improve those weaknesses. For example: You may not like to write, but you're an avid reader. Reading over time helps you to improve your vocabulary so when you do have to write a paper for school, it may trigger certain words that could be used to increase the fluency of your paper. Think about the strengths God has given you and use them!
2. Achievements anyone?
Take a journal and list all of your achievements over the past year. How many did you come up with? Quite a few, huh? Thinking about your past achievements will help boost your confidence in ways you never have before. Why? You think about what it took to get there. I bet you weren't timid when you got that degree, or soft-spoken when you finally published that book. Were you? NO! You stood proud because it was an achievement that took years to finally get to. But you did it! Confidence will allow you to have many more successes in the future!
3. Psyche yourself out!
I know this sounds a little far-fetched, but really it's not. Telling yourself what you can do and turning away from the thoughts of what you can't do, will definitely keep your confidence in check. It is the ability to see yourself for who you really are: someone with all skills and wisdom and can do all things through Christ who strengthens you! You have the power, the authority, and the knowledge that will help you stand out from the crowd. It's your job to confess that to yourself each and every day. I like what Tony Robbins says:
"Put yourself in a state of mind where you say to yourself, ‘Here is an opportunity for me to celebrate like never before, my own power, my own ability to get myself to do whatever is necessary.'"

Live a Life of BalanceRead Now
Philippians 4:5 "Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord [is] at hand."
When was the last time you decided to do things according to what is most important to God, instead of what's always important for others? Have you stopped to ever ask yourself, "Is this something that is pleasing to God, or only pleasing to man?" Yes the promotion may help your stature and raise your salary. But who is it really benefiting? Do you find with that promotion a whole lot more responsibility that takes you away from what matters most: your time with God? your family and children? your own fulfillment in life?
God makes it very clear where our priorities should lie...
Matthew 6:33 "But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you."
God should be first place over anything we do. Without Him, our life would be imbalanced. He is the nucleus that holds all things together. When we realize that and decide to not just include Him, but make Him the very One all of our decisions are based upon, then we will see the advantages we receive from a God who holds all of the favor and blessings in His hands. You turn a job that you felt you had to have in order to get what the world had to offer into a ministry. You will influence more whether you have a title or not, and you will have more fulfillment in that job whether you received a raise or not. God becomes your source! And He is the best one to provide everything you need.
Your life will grow more in balance in:
1. Spiritual (Your relationship with God and clarity of vision in ministry)
2. Family (More closeness with your spouse and children)
3. Work (Not just a job, but a fulfilling career)
4. Health (Exercise and purposeful choices in your eating habits)
5. Relationships (More meaningful relationships with friends)
6. Self (Well-being more complete, signaling peace and tranquility)
God desires you to be prosperous and in health, even as your soul prospers (3 John 1:2, emphasis mine). You can do that with a life of balance.

“You’re braver than you believe, and stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think.” –A.A. Milne
Many of us feel we have nothing to contribute. Either we don't have enough education, or we have gained all of the accolades we can possibly possess through degrees, certifications, and licensing, we still think those are not enough to be noticed. We capture a thought, and that thought turns into an idea, which could very well help someone else that needs it most, but we don't have the confidence to execute our plan towards completion.
So here's the question I must ask each of you:
Would you rather someone else take the very idea that you have and make a name for him or herself with all of the wealth and fame that is associated with someone who's achieved an extraordinary feat, all from your creativity, or ... would you rather it be YOU?
“Someone was hurt before you, wronged before you, hungry before you, frightened before you, beaten before you, humiliated before you, raped before you… yet, someone survived… You can do anything you choose to do.” –Maya Angelou
It's important for each of us to understand the capacity we have to be the miracle many need in this world. Someone is waiting on your story, your expertise, your resources, your love...you are their ticket to freedom. Freedom to live a life in Christ by what you have within you! Yes, it may be hard to want to help, based on how you were treated in the past, but guess what, you made it. And I'm sure you don't look like what you've been through.
Allow yourself to be vulnerable for the sake of others. Do things that matter. Whether a kind gesture, or a word or deed, you have what it takes to make the world a better place, all because of the change you made to be the best you for someone else.
Let this motivational video inspire you to change your way of thinking about who you really are! Until next time...
